Hard print (real thing) or Kindle/Nook, which is your favorite? -SUGGESTED BY: The Realm of Books 

This was the perfect week for this question as I just received my first iPad in the mail. Prior to this I had never read a kindle book and I had pretty negative views towards kindle books and was a hardcore physical book fan. Now, however, I can easily say that I see the benefits in both.

ADVANTAGES OF THE PHYSICAL BOOK VERSUS THE KINDLE BOOK

Physical Book	Kindle Book
Collectable on bookshelf	Accessible immediately after purchase
Easier on the eyes	Highlight and notes option
Doesn't run out of battery	Can read in the dark
Beautiful	Easier to hold

So as you can see each one has its advantages. I don't think I can pick which one I prefer but I do know that if I really love a book I read on my Kindle I will probably buy the physical book so I can keep it on my shelf. I really do love to collect books. I have only been reading Kindle books since Monday but so far I have been reading one kindle book and one physical book at a time. I have bought too many books this week due to my new iPad so stay tuned for my Stacking the Shelves post Saturday! 

I was certainly very anti-Kindle books until I downloaded the app myself so what are your thoughts? Do you prefer the physical book or the kindle book? Leave a link to your post below and I will be sure to check it out.

Only one or two of my books have duplicates. If I really love a book I will often buy it in hardback but I tend to give away my old copy to friends or charities or second bookstores. At this moment in time I think I have one book on my shelf twice. I bout Magic Study from a second hand book shop but the spine was completely damaged and it didn't have the nicest cover. When I was in Edinburgh The Works were having a liquidation sales and I found a brand new copy of Magic Study with a much nicer cover for only a £1. Other books that I have had two at the one time is The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I had bought Never Fade and In the Afterlight in hardcover and I wanted to have all the books in the series matching so I gave my paperback copy to my cousin and got myself a hardcover to match the others. I am also planning on buying another copy of Red Rising as I ADORE that book and I bought the second one in hardcover, so again I want my books matching on my shelves.

Oh, I nearly forgot about my two Harry Potter collections. I have a really old and battered HP collection and also recently bought the new Jonny Duddle illustrated covers because they are pretty and I really needed a new less battered collection.

That's pretty much it.

My First Feature and Follow Friday

Today's feature and follow question is:
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PLACE TO READ? -SUGGESTED BY: Liberamans 

I will pretty much read anywhere, I have no shame at all in whipping out a book in the most unlikely places. If I have to, I will read where there is noise and distraction but I like to avoid this as best I can. So, that really rules out our sitting room for me as there is always someone in there watching TV which I find so distracting. I also, cannot for the life of me read in cars or buses, trains and planes are okay, but if I even read one sentence on a bus or in a car I will get a pounding headache. I am always so jealous of the people I sitting sitting on the bus reading their books because it would be a great way for me to pass the time. I travel to quite often as I live a good hour and a half bus or train ride from my Uni. I will opt for the train if possible more time then not because, lets face it, it is more comfortable and I can read my book happy out. The place I probably read the most is my bedroom as this is the least noisiest place in the house. I tend to just sprawl across my bed and read my book for hours at time (when I can). If I am alone in the house though I much prefer to read in the sitting room, with my little schih tzu beside and, in winter, the fire blazing....bliss.
